Stephanie started her dance training at the age of 3 in the Salt Lake City area, and has studied with many well known instructors. Many of her studies were at the University of Utah, known for their quality dance instruction.  She has over 20 years teaching experience in Boise and Utah, and specializes in ballet and preschool children’s classes. She has been inspiring children for many years at Pat Harris’ studios. She is also a director for Pampered Chef and a top producer of home shows.

Melanie Grace will once again be subbing for us this dance season. She started dancing at age 3 in Bismarck, North Dakota. She continued her dance training in clogging and jazz at Hidden Valley Dancers in Sandy, Utah, then trained in jazz, ballet, and lyrical at Artistic Dance Studio in Draper, Utah. She was on her high school dance company, and continued dancing at Brigham Young University. She was a member of the BYU Folk Dancers and traveled around the world performing in festivals and concerts. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education, she taught Dance, Aerobics, and Musical Theater for Alpine School District in Lehi, Utah. She now has a family with 4 young children, and is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with students at Pat Harris School of Dance  as a substitute teacher.

Aidan will be subbing for us this dance season instead of Full time teaching due to her new job at BSU. She obtained her MA in English Literature and her BA in Theatre Arts with Dance and Performance options and English Literature from Boise State University. Aidan trained at Dance Pros under Ronda Bowden, Ballet Idaho under Wendy de la Harpe, and Boise State with Marla Hansen. She expanded her training by attending workshops with Summer Dance Lab and various master classes. Aidan is a well-rounded dancer, training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and musical theatre. She has taught at various studios throughout the valley for the past 10 years. She is also an active choreographer, working on several plays and musicals for local theatre companies as well as producing her own dance showcase while at BSU.

Emiliana Mccormick is a native to the Boise area and loves it immensely. She’s danced since the age of two and danced at Center Stage Studios under the watch of Jessica Ruffalo, and continued her education when the studio came under new direction and name by Tricia Baltzer. She graduated from Idaho Arts Charter School with honors as a dance focus, where she also played an important role as a leader in the dance team. She has training in all areas such as jazz, technique , contemporary, ballet, ballroom, and hip hop. She currently coaches the competitive team at Pat a Harris and goes to school at Boise State for elementary education. A fun fact about her is she loves to travel and can be found in the mountains when not teaching or at her other job. 

Susie Depew started talking dance classes at age 3, at Mauldin’s Dance Academy in Twin Falls, and student taught there during high school. She ran her own studio, Susie’s Tap & Jazz, Etc., from 1978 – 2008. She was an active a member of the Inland Northwest Dance Association (INDA) and the Idaho Dance Arts Alliance (IDAA) for many years, and was the representative for the State of Idaho to the National Dance Week Foundation for 14 years. After serving as a Dorm Mom for 5 years for the College of Southern Idaho/IDAA summer dance camp, she served as the Assistant Camp Director for 4 years, and the Camp Director for 1 year. She has taught drill team and dance team, at both the junior and senior high levels, and cheerleading and dance classes at various summer dance camps, as well as judged pageants and dance competitions. She taught dance classes for Post Falls Park & Recreation for 7 years, started teaching dance classes this fall for Eagle Park & Recreation, and has been teaching adult tap classes in the Boise community for the last several years. She has 5 grown children, 8 grandchildren and 2 “fur children”. She was a licensed foster parent for 20 plus years, and now works for Family Connections, Inc. helping families whose children are in foster care. Susie is excited to be able to teach more dance classes again, and to join the faculty at Pat Harris Dance studio!

A family-oriented, expertly staffed, professional dance studio
  Pat Harris started her dance life and training at the age of 8 in Nampa, ID with Mrs. May Van de Steeg renowned teacher in the area. Pat started her first dance school as a senior in high school and continued her dance school while attending (B.S.U) Boise Junior College for 2 years. She was head Majorette for B.S.U. during that time and twirled & threw both the sparkler & flame baton for the college games. She received her degree in Physical Education from the University of Washington and taught junior high for several years. Pat spent 6 weeks in NYC taking dance technique classes and teacher training courses from such legends Thalia Mara (Ballet),Paul Draper (Tap) and Matt Mattox (Jazz).  Pat founded the dance school bearing her name in 1971. The Pat Harris School of Dance building was constructed in 1973. Originally started on Broadway Avenue in 1982 the Broadway Dance Center entered a new era on East Boise Ave. with the renovation of the Holcomb Grange building and grounds.  This facility is available for rental for receptions, parties, etc. Many of the students trained in Pat’s schools have continued their dance careers as professional dance teachers, performers in professional dance companies, professional sports dance teams, cruise ship dance performers, & proudly having trained many owners of their own dance schools. Pat Harris heads a staff of technically-trained, caring instructors who provide progressive lessons in a fun, yet disciplined manner.  Pat Harris has been an active member of the Boise Dance Teacher’s Association and the statewide Idaho Dance Arts Alliance for many years, having held the office of president in each group, plus several other offices and responsibilities.  Pat is a proud member of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Courtney Larson has been dancing for 10 years and teaching for 3 years, with expertise is in ballet, jazz, and contemporary. She has trained with professionals from Ballet West, Odyssey Dance Theater, and Ririe Woodbury Dance Company. Throughout her training she has danced in top performing companies. She studied Dance Education at Snow College and recently graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education from UVU. She loves teaching and working with young dancers and sparking their passion for dance. Above all, she believes that dance should build teamwork and be fun!

Casee began dancing at the age of 5, and is an Idaho native. She has performed professionally in New York City for both the Mark Morris and Alvin Ailey Summer Dance Intensive programs. Her professional career started under Leah Stephens-Clark with Balance Dance Company. She then went on to train with Hailey Hipwell in H-Dance Force.At age 19, she was accepted into Idaho Dance Theatre. She danced with IDT for a total of 7 years. Casee has a passion for teaching, and passing on the gift of dance and expression to her students.
Mackenzie was born and raised in Southern California. Passionate, vibrant, dancer and choreographer experienced in all styles of dance. Competitively trained earning numerous national rankings in multiple genres. Professional competition choreographer and instructor. Studying ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, heels, and tap under Leann Alduenda, Cruz, Tanya Durbin, Michel Gervais, Erika Waters, MichaelVan Patten, Tim Stevenson, and Elizabeth Kennard. She recently moved to Boise, Idaho with her husband Zach. Mackenzie has been well trained in all genres of dance since the age of 10. She has been assisting and teaching since 2010. In 2018, Mackenzie was awarded top Choreographer at Starbound National Dance Competition in Southern California. Mackenzie has also danced professionally with Dulce Burlesque Group. Mackenzie has a passion for kids and a love for all styles of dance and enjoys being able to pursue both of those through teaching dance. 
Our professionally trained staff members are educated in their individual disciplines and continue to pursue ongoing education to provide the best dance instruction possible. They bring many years of experience to our dance program and are devoted to your student’s success and individual needs. Proper technique is the foundation to all dance training and progression.
